I would like to tell you about my path to becoming a successful, self-employed cosmetician. This way was not always easy. But read for yourself:

In the canton of Graubünden, only three apprenticeship positions as a beautician were offered in 2006. When I applied for the year 2006, these places were already taken and there was no other possibility to start an apprenticeship as a beautician in the area of Graubünden in this year. However, a cosmetic studio in Chur offered me the chance of an apprenticeship for the year 2007. Of course, I did not miss this chance, signed the contract for 2007 and did an internship in a day nursery as an intermediate year.

After one year, the time had finally come. I was allowed to learn my dream job in the Beauty Center Lacuna in Chur. Apprentice with a very talented and experienced trainer - Hedwig Dettwiler-Alisch.

The three years were very demanding, but also very instructive. I learned the art of cosmetics using various techniques of the good old school. Thus I was perfectly prepared for the difficult final exams in 2010. Shortly thereafter, I received a permanent position in my former training company.

My dream of being allowed to work as an independent beautician, however, was no longer out of my mind. Thus, I informed myself about free-standing premises in my area and as if by chance, a block of flats including a commercial space on the first floor was built one street away from my home. From this point on the case was clear -

I open my own beauty salon!

After I had submitted my application documents for the business space, I received a call from the landlord a short time later asking if I was still interested in opening a cosmetic studio there. - Of course! Still in the shell, I went almost daily to visit the 50 square meter space.

Through my savings and the support of my parents, I opened my own cosmetic studio Beauty Charisma. on April 1, 2011 I knew the first few years would be an exhausting time proving myself in the world of cosmetics and building a customer base. Nevertheless, I remained strong and after more than five years I can proudly say that I managed to gain a foothold in the self-employed industry.
